Meet Our Owner and Founder, Giovonnia McCall M.A., GCDF, CMII, LP
Low Country Professional Intervention Services, LLC (LCPIS) will be managed by owner and founder Giovonnia McCall. Giovonnia is a native of Darlington, South Carolina and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education specializing in Education, Training, and Development, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with emphasis in Professional Mental Health Counseling, with over 36 credit hours in a Doctor of Philosophy program with emphasis in General Psychology. Currently, she is pursuing a Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification through Webster University. She is also a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Life Planner, and Mental Health First Aid Responder. Additionally, she has completed Registered Behavior Technician, Navy Personnel Command Brig Officer Management, and American Correctional Association Trainer training along with others.
Giovonnia has more than 15 years of experience in counseling, including but not limited to, individuals with various disabilities and behavior problems. Prior to LCPIS, Giovonnia has worked as a clinical counselor, student service coordinator, and parent liaison. She is also a passionate advocate for the under privilege.
LCPIS is confident that it will be a success because of the owner’s current reputation that earned the respect of her peers both professional and personal through her hard work as a mother, professional, and student. Counseling, Social Services and Education have been her career platform for over 20 years. With these cumulating together, she proves she has what it takes to make Low Country Professional Intervention Services, LLC a success that impacts communities in the Low Country and Pee Dee areas of South Carolina.
Our treatment philosophy is centered on children, adolescents, and adults with or without disabilities and their families. Because our clients are unique, we focus our efforts on understanding their individual goals, strengths, barriers, and needs.
Aside from this, our understanding of their personal history, culture, spirituality, aspirations, risk factors, and living situations is crucial to their health and wellness. Our person-centered care is tailored to their needs.
